For competent (trained, educated and experienced) inspectors like ourselves inspecting equipment is relatively straightforward in the majority of cases. Historically, however, logging and tracking inspections has been a tedious process at best. Dealing with hard to find, difficult to read, long serial numbers is a chore any sensible person would dislike. Plus some items of height safety gear can often be missing serial numbers (karabiners, I’m looking at you!!). Adding durable unique identifiers to these items has been a significant challenge in the industry for decades.

What is Scannable?
The system comprises of several key components
- A cloud database of your equipment
- NFC tags that attached to your gear
- A huge database of products already uploaded including photos, instructions and specifications
- Webpage and phone app access
How do we use it?
As a new customer we will set up your scannable account and add you as a user at no cost to you.
Upon first inspections we will add each item to your account and attach an NFC tag all included in the inspection pricing.
We then use Scannable to track the inspections we do. The NFC tags allow us to efficiently and accurately allocate inspections to equipment records then we will send you easy to understand reports for inspections done and inspections needed.
How will you use it?
With user access to your organisations Scannable account you and your team can use both the app and website. Its very easy to see your PPE inspection status through the app on your phone or the website.
You and your team can also use the NFC tag scanning functionality. This is really PPE technology of the future. Just scan the tag with your compatible mobile device and you can access the detailed information stored. Its easy to check inspection records and even access the instructions for the gear.
